Winners from UFC on ESPN 1, What’s Next?

We start the main card on ESPN with a match in the Featherweight divison between Andre Fili vs Myles Jury. Andre Fili from Team Alpha Male won by unanimous decision. The fight was close and went back and forth but, with Andre landing jab after jab I believe the Fili was the correct winner. So what next for the tattoo Featherweight, my pick would be Cub Swanson.

Next on UFC on ESPN 1 was easily the fight of the night and maybe one of the best welterweight fights in UFC history. Vincente Luque TKO Bryan “Bam Bam” Barberena with 5 seconds left in 3rd Round. This fight was a stand up war. Bryan just coming moving forward accepting the punishment that Vincente was delivering and throw massive shots of his own. Congratulations to both fighters but especially Vincente who moves up in the welterweight divison. After the fight ha said he wanted a top ten fighter but, the fighter I have for Vincente is Mike “Platinum” Perry. Mike can make this fight into something big with his trash talk, theatrical weigh in moments and is actions inside the octagon! Perry vs Luque book it!

Next from Phoniex was a UFC debut with a last name that is cemented in mix martial arts. The Featherweight fight was between Kron Gracie vs Alex Caceres. If you are a Gracie supporter, the fight went exactly as planned. Kron got a hold of Alex and the fight was over, a submission win in the first round. Next Kron Gracie moves up the ladder to fight a tough Darren Elkins, that’s the fight to make.

The only female fight on the main card came out of the strawweight divison, Cynthia Calvillo vs Courtney Casey. They went all 15 minutes and Cynthia won my unanimous decision. Cynthia is 8-1 and a top ten strawweight in the UFC. So next I have her fighting the winner of a matchup at UFC 235 between Tecia Torres vs Welil Zhang. The winner of the next fight would become a legit contender to the championship.

Next we go to the co main event in the Lightweight division between two savy and dangerous veterans of the UFC. Paul Felder vs James Vick was a technical war with both fighters moving up after the result. Felder won the fight with a unanimous decision and was very emotional after the fight. Paul after losses in his personal life and battle through injuries, to get his hand raised inside the octagon was everything to him. Paul Felder made a call out on the microphone so who I am to argue, we wants the winner of the Justin Gaethje vs Edson Barboza.

In the main event was a heavyweight fight that had fireworks written all over it! Francis N’Ngannou vs Cain Velasquez. Francis the ex #1 contender who wants a title match again and the hall of famer ex champion who wants the gold back! This fight didn’t last long, Francis put hand on Cain and it was over. After Francis clipped Cain he feel awkwardly on his knee, but Francis jumped on him and the referee has to stop the fight 26 seconds into the main event. So what’s next, Francis has beaten all the contenders. There is only 2 fights to make for Francis and that is Stipe Miocic or the champ Daniel Cormier. The heavyweight division has some big fights to make in the future and they will be Bananas!
