Winners from UFC Fight Night Nashville, What’s Next?

The first fight on UFC Fight Night Nashville was Maycee Barber vs JJ Aldrich in the female flyweight division. Maycee The Future Barber  won in the second round via TKO. With a perfect 7-0 record, I would love to see a Maycee Barber matchup against Montana De La Rosa.

Next we had Luis Pena make his Featherweight debut vs Steven Peterson. Violent Bob Ross did not make the weight but he did get the job done inside the octagon with a unanimous decision win. I am not sure to match Pena up with a featherweight or lightweight but, I will give him a gigantic fight in the featherweight division and see if he can make weight and win against Cub Swanson.

The card keeps flying with a Flyweight fight with Jussier Da Silva vs previous undefeated Deiveson Figueiredo. With already being a top 3 flyweight and winning his 4 straight fight, I would match him against Joseph Benavides with winner fight the champion Henry Cejudo.

In the stacked Lightweight division we had John Makdessi vs Jesus Pinedo. John won the fight via unanimous decision and that makes 3 straight win for John Makdessi. I would match John Makdessi up with Nik Lentz.

The co main event gives up a heavyweight fight between Curtis “Razor” Blaydes vs Justin Willis. Curtis would be a undefeated fighter if there wasn’t a monster named Francis N’Gannou. Curtis a top 5 UFC Heavyweight needs a dancing partner to move up the ladder and the perfect matchup would be former champion Stipe Miocic.

To the welterweight main event that had fireworks written all over it and man O man did it deliver. Stephen “WonderBoy” Thompson welcomed Anthony “Showtime” Pettis to the welterweight division. Showtime with a Knockout of the year candidate over WonderBoy in the second round. Anthony Pettis, a fighter who has won in 3 weight classes, a former champion and a future hall of famer. So, the question is what’s next? I would matchup 2 former champions, 2 future hall of famers and 2 ultra popular fighters Anthony Pettis vs Robbie Lawler. This fight would be a stand up war and would be Bananas!
