What would be next for Donald Cerrone if or when he beats Conor McGregor?

Saturday at UFC 246 Conor McGregor returns to the octagon to fight Donald Cerrone in a welterweight Main Event. Conor McGregor is brining a ample amount of buzz to the event and mix martial arts fans across the globe are talking about who is Conor McGregor going to fight next after he wins.

But, what happens when the first ballot hall of famer with the most finishes in the organizations history wins. What happens if Cowboy dethrones the notorious one and takes all the buzz with him. Donald Cerrone has been a constant contender in the lightweight and welterweight divisions for over a decade. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone is a fan favorite and could set himself up with a 2020 like Jorge Masvidal had in 2019 and catapult himself into any matchup he wants.

If Cerrone pulls off the upset who would he fight next? Here are three choices I think the UFC universe would go bananas for. First would be a immediate rematch with Conor McGregor, maybe they could capture the same magic that Conor & Nate Diaz had 4 years ago. Second is the UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Donald Cerrone has never tasted gold in the UFC and a win over Conor would create a fairy tale story line for the cowboy to go after the Lightweight Champion. The third opponent would be a rematch of epic proportion and would matchup two MMA legends against each other. These two legends of the sport has never been hotter and would create a Bad Mother F**king matchup, Donald Cerrone vs Jorge Masvidal.
