UFC to WWE

One day a mix martial artist, next day a professional wrestler. We have wrestlers in the past make the jump to UFC & Bellator MMA like former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Bellator Heavyweights Bobby Lashley & now Jake Hager. But, are we about to see a evolution of MMA fighters become professional wrestlers?

This week a picture surfaced of Ex Featherweight Womens UFC Champion Cris Cyborg at the WWE Preformance Center in Orlando, Florida. Cyborg was known as the greatest female fighter of all time until Amanda Nunes destroyed her in 48 seconds to capture the Women’s Featherweight Champion. Cris Cyborg might become the next UFC Mega Star to jump to the WWE Machine but she was not the first. During the WWE attitude era Ken Shamrock jumped from the UFC to the WWE for more guaranteed money. Just last year maybe UFC’s biggest draw Ronda Rousey used the UFC as a leaping pad to jump right to the top of the female evolution in the WWE. Ronda was big a humongous success, bringing credibility and main stream buzz to the WWE. She has been undefeated since joining last year and she is the women’s Raw Champion and is on track to fight Becky Lynch in the main event of WrestleMania.

My question is, is this a trend or can UFC fighters constantly jump to the World Wrestling Entertainment for more guaranteed money and take a lesser toll on their bodies. With Ronda in the WWE, and maybe Cris Cyborg next, could one day Vince McMahon lure Conor “Notorious” McGregor to put the octagon behind him and become the next WWE Champion, this would be Bananas!
