UFC on ESPN +1 Staff Picks

Jon Radford picks:

Glover Teixeira Vs. Karl Roberson light heavyweight My pick is Glover since Karl is coming in on short notice. I think Glover implement a solid boxing and wrestling game plan and not get into a crazy bang it out fight. Glover wins by 3rd round sub or ground and pound.

Dave Picks: Glover Teixeira

PVZ vs Rachael Ostovich womens flyweight I am unsure of this one both women coming off losses and PVZ being out for so long. I am taking Rachael however in this on I think she has something to prove and wants to get past the events that happened to her before this fight Rachael by Decision.

Dave Pick: PVZ

Max Pick: PVZ

Joseph Benavidez vs Dustin Ortiz mens flyweightTo me this is the closest matchup  of the night. Both fighters have been surging as of late especially Ortiz. But I do have Joseph winning this , I think he pulls out the decision and vies for a title shot against the champ Henry Cejudo as long as Fly weight divison still and the champ make it past this weekend.

Dave Pick: Joseph Benavidez

Max Pick: Joseph Benavidez

Gregor Gillespie vs Yancy Medieros Light weight fight this should be a great scrap both fighters love to engage and come forward with power shots. Gregor like to wrestle alittle more and uses ground and pound very efficiently. Yancey could catch him for sure, but I have Gillespie by 2nd round finish from ground strikes.

Dave Pick: Gregor Gillespie

Max Pick: Gregor Gillespie

Co-main  Greg Hardy vs Allen Crowder heavyweightI am jumping on the Hardy train for this one. For a very simple reason There are athletes and there are Elite Level Athletes. Greg Hardy is a elite level athlete. He dominated in football as a defensive end. He has real freakish power and understands the work it takes to get to the top. I have Hardy by Knockout doesn’t matter what round , it will end by knockout.

Dave Pick: Greg Hardy

Max Pick: Greg Hardy

Main Event   Henry Cejudo vs T.J. Dillashaw  mens  fly weight title fight: one fighter looking to be crowned the next double champ, and one fighter looking to stay champion and save his divison from what could be impending doom if he loses.  There is a lot at stake for this fight and not all of it has to do with the two guys fighting. With all this in mind I still have a hard time thinking current fly weight champ Cejudo beats Killasaw. But if there is someone that can do it , it would be Henry. He has championship mentality and work ethic. He also is very adaptable as a fighter. He has changed his game and made it more seemless then ever. T.J. is a problem though, athletic strong explosive with good wrestling and now with a fantastic striking game that has he has been honing with his head coach Duane Ludwig. With that being said Cejudo has been training with Keirin Fitzgibbons at Combat Sports Academy out of Vegas since his last fight with Might mouse when he won the title. He has been using them as striking catapult for his game. CSA is the premier Muay Thai school in the country. Cejudo should be well prepared for this battle on Saturday night. With all this being said I am taking Henry Cejudo by decision , I think he puts on a great performance to save his division and fellow fighters.

Dave Pick: TJ Dillashaw

Max Pick: TJ Dillashaw
