UFC 236 Winners, What’s Next?

The main card of UFC 236 started with a light heavyweight fight between Nikita Krylov & Ovince Saint Preux, Nikita won via submission (rear-naked choke) in Round 2 to make that 5 out 6 wins in a row for the Miner. A step up of competition is a must and with a busy light heavyweight schedule ahead the only fight that makes sense is Corey Anderson.

In a very close fight in the welterweight division Dwight Grant def. Alan Jouban via split decision. Dwight just needs to add up more wins to climb the ladder so, next matchup would be against Sean Strickland.

In impressive fashion Khalil Rountree def. Eryk Anders via unanimous decision in the light heavyweight division. At UFC 236 we saw the best Khalil Rountree we have ever seen, he bolts himself right back into mix in the light heavyweight division. The matchup I would make would be Khalil vs. OSP.

In the co main event we saw one of the greatest middleweight fights in the history of the UFC. Israel Adesanya def. Kelvin Gastelum via unanimous decision to win the Interim middleweight Championship in electric fashion. This fight was an absolute war and maybe the beginning of The Last Style Bender Era. This one is as simple as it gets, Adesanya vs Whittaker for the Undisputed UFC Middleweight Champion!

The main event made a new superstar in the UFC as Dustin Poirier def. Max Holloway via unanimous decision to win interim lightweight title. The Diamond’s performance will go down in UFC history as one of the best championship performance of all time. Dustin Poirier won the Lightweight championship and made himself a bona fide superstar and his next matchup is an easy one too. The Diamond is the Interim Champ, the current Lightweight Champ Khabib Nurmagomedov is coming back, we need a Undisputed Lightweight Championship Fight!
