The UFC has been on absolute fire with its match making as of recent months. UFC 236 is no different when it come to the main and co-main events. These two title match-ups are incredible. First in the co-main you have phenomenal rising star and prolific striker Israel Adesanya vs. Hard Hitting and former TUF winner Kelvin Gastelum. This fight is for the middle weight interim belt. Winner should face Robert Whitaker to unify the belts but with Whittaker coming off emergency gallbladder surgery his time-table for return is late in the year. So there is a chance the winner of this could have another fight before the Champion returns. Me and my colleague Chief writer David Van Auken discussed this last night live on the FightBananas Facebook page. Go check it out for more info and insight. This fight is definitely going to light up the cage with some fireworks. Moving on to the big finale of UFC 236 we have the greatest featherweight history facing one of the most violent, talented and tough as nails fighters to every grace the UFC octagon. Max Holloway vs. Dustin Poirier is by far one of the best fights we could have asked for this year. Both fighters deserve the shot at the title 100%. They both come in the cage with aggressive, pressure forward fighting styles that like to bang and finish fights. This has fight of the year potential engraved all in it. Both men are trying to solidify there place in UFC history and neither will back down from a challenge. All I have to say about this is get your popcorn popped and your favorite beverage ready because this is showdown between to epic gunslinger and you don’t want to miss it. Lets see who myself and the rest of the staff have winning these fights and the rest of the main card.
