The UFC Lightweight Division

The greatest fight organization in the world, the UFC has pivotal decisions to make about it’s most stacked division, the Lightweights. First, here is the list of assassins in this division. Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, #1 contender and former champion Tony Ferguson, the biggest name in this class & former champion as well Conor McGregor, #3 contender the “Diamond” Dustin Poirier, studs like Al Iaquinta, Justin Gaethje, Anthony “Showtime” Pettis, James Vick & maybe the weight class most historic name Nate Diaz. What’s next for the division?

The last lightweight title fight was Khabib vs Conor, with Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Win and his future cloudy suspension, who should be in the next title fight? Should Conor McGregor get back in the mix, should Tony Ferguson get a title shot at the title he never lost? How about a new lightweight killer? There is almost now wrong answer with so many great personalities & talent in the lightweight division. But, for me I have one word… Tournament! The UFC could market to the masses the biggest, best tournament in MMA history. They could spread the tournament out for over a year, so they could figure out suspensions & injuries. The UFC could maximize the most talented division and get some of the biggest fights for the upcoming 2019 year. Think about the possibilities Conor vs Diaz 3, Dustin vs Tony, Raging Al vs Showtime and maybe, just maybe if the UFC God’s are nice to us we could get Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson. The possibilities are Bananas!!
