Twenty years from now UFC fans can look back at UFC 244 as one of the greatest nights in the companies history! UFC 244 took place in New York City at Madison Square Garden. The garden was electric from start to finish. UFC fans took witness to a hyped up light heavyweight contender in Corey Anderson as he demolished Johnny Walker. UFC fans also saw a passing of the torch in the heavyweight division with Andrei Arlovski to Jairjinho Rozenstruik. The UFC universe saw a new dangerous middleweight contender in Edmen Shahbazyan, an absolute devastating KO’s from Kevin Lee to Gregor Gillespie and we saw the mayor of Madison Square Garden Derrick “Black Beast” Lewis win again in the worlds most famous arena.
But, with all this the main event featured the President of the United States of America, Hollywood biggest Movie Star and now the Baddest Mother F**ker in mix martial arts. Donald Trump was in the building to take in all the festivities of UFC 244. The Rock who is a avid fan of the UFC delivered on his promise to put the newly crowned “BMF” championship belt around the waist of the winner of Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz. In the main event Masvidal looked dominate in his quest to earn the BMF title. After multiple knock downs of Diaz via strikes and busting Nate Diaz open with a short elbow the fight was over via doctors stoppage after the third round. Jorge Masvidal put a stamp on an historic night at UFC 244 with a post fight interview that only “Street Jesus” can do, UFC 244 will go down in history as a once in a lifetime event!
