Sunday night at WrestleMania 35, Brock Lesnar lost his WWE Universal Title to Seth Rollins. Brock Lesnar walked out of Met Life Stadium with a sold out crowd of over 80,000 people without a championship belt over his shoulder and no more WWE dates booked in the near future.
On Twitter that night Daniel Cormier the UFC Heavyweight Champion tweeted out “Ha, Brock got beat up” and que the UFC rumormill. We have the defending, reigning, undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion with not a booked fight on his calendar. We have one of the biggest draws in UFC history in Lesnar with a baked in rivialy with the Champ DC. Plain and simple the UFC is going to book Lesnar vs Cormier for the UFC Heavyweight Championship! This heavyweight fight will be Blockbuster gold and attract main stream fans to the UFC. Daniel who has been hinting retirement for some time now and would love to leave the octagon still the champ and tons of money in his pocket. On the other hand Lesnar is all bout the money, he would care less about his opponent and his legacy. The UFC has the next couple of months booked out and with UFC 239 shaping up to be one of the greatest cards of all time, my prediction is UFC 240 will be Cormier vs Lesnar for the UFC Heavyweight Championship. My guess this fight would be announced soon and the combat sports world goes Bananas!
