The polarizing, ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry will feature at UFC 255 on November 21st. after all – opposite a new opponent.

Originally slated to clash with former welterweight champion, ‘Ruthless’ Robbie Lawler at the pay-per-view event, that matchup was shelved after Lawler withdrew due to injury. Replacing the former 170-pound kingpin on short-notice is fellow veteran, Tim ‘The Dirty Bird’ Means, according to a recent report from ESPN MMA reporter, Ariel Helwani.

Flint, Michigan native, Perry recently brought a halt to a two-fight slide opposite both Vicente Luque and Geoff Neal, to score a unanimous decision win over Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu player, Mickey Gall at UFC Vegas 4 in June – where he was infamously cornered by a sole corner-person, his girlfriend, Latory Gonzalez.

Means, 36, himself rebounded to winning ways himself at UFC Vegas 6 in August, taking home a unanimous decision win over Laureano Staropoli in the featured preliminary tie. The win continued a recent trend of 50-50 wins for the knockout artist.

Thirteen fight Octagon veteran, Perry was initially campaigning for a short-notice matchup with the streaking, Khamzat ‘Borz’ Chimaev – as high as middleweight, but has instead been paired with Oklahoma native, Means, with Chimaev continuing preparations for his December 19th. headliner opposite perennial division contender, Leon ‘Rocky’ Edwards.

UFC 255 takes place on November 21st. from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a reworked flyweight title matchup of champion, Deiveson ‘Deus Da Garra’ Figueuiredo, and short-notice replacement, Alex Perez who tackles the Brazilian in place of the injured former bantamweight champion, Cody ‘No Love’ Garbrandt who suffered a torn bicep ahead of the bout.

In a night of flyweight title pairings, dominant 125-pound throne holder, Valentina ‘Bullet’ Shevchenko looks to knock back Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu standout, former Invicta FC best, Jennifer Maia in the night’s co-headliner.
