Bellator MMA welterweight kingpin, Douglas Lima will return to the 170-pound welterweight limit on June 11th. at Bellator 260 — attempting to defend his championship against undefeated Ukrainian phenom, Yaroslav Amosov. The event is scheduled to take place at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Returning to welterweight for the first time since October 2019, Lima tested middleweight waters last October in a bid to add the middleweight championship to his trophy cabinet. Tackling Gegard Mousasi, Lima dropped a unanimous decision loss — snapping his three-fight undefeated run.
25-0 as a professional, Dynamo native, Amosov earned his title clash against Lima in November at Bellator 252 with a split decision victory over Logan Storley — which came as the 27-year-old’s sixth successive win under the promotion’s banner. Yahoo! A whopping three-time Bellator welterweight champion, Brazilian favourite, Lima had won three consecutively prior to his loss to Mousasi back in October. The 33-year-old holds a 32-8 resume, which features triumphs over the likes of Rory MacDonald, Michael Page, Andrey Koreshkov (x2), Lorenz Larkin, Paul Daley, Rick Hawn, and Ben Saunders (x2) to name a few.
Amosov, a former Tech-KREP FC welterweight titleholder plys his trade at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida — and is a three-time Sambo world champion.
From his twenty-five professional triumphs, Amosov has managed an eye-catching nineteen finishes; nine knockouts and ten submissions. A nine-year professional veteran, Amosov has bested the likes of Roberto Soldic, Gerald Harris, Erick Silva, David Rickels, and Ed Ruth during his professional career.
