

European striking talents, Ciryl ‘Bon Gamin’ Gane and Alexander ‘Drago’ Volkov will clash in a UFC Fight Night headliner on June 26th. — with potential title implications on the line for the victor.
Headlining UFC Vegas 20 at the end of February, Gane made his long-anticipated Octagon return, taking home a comfortable one-sided unanimous decision win over renowned knockout-artist, Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
Scoring his second straight win on February 6th. at UFC Vegas 18, Volkov scored a second-round knockout victory over decorated Dutch kickboxing veteran, Alistair Overeem. News of the matchup was first reported by ESPN MMA reporter, Brett Okamoto.
With an undefeated professional record of 8-0, Gane has scored five of those wins under the UFC’s banner since his much-awaited move to the promotion back in August of 2019 at UFC Fight Night Montevideo.
The Fernand Lopez and MMA Factory mainstay landed in the organization with an arm-triangle win over Raphael Pessoa, before a unanimous decision victory over Don’Tale Mayes.
Featuring at UFC Fight Night Busan in December of 2019, Gane managed to take home an eye-catching unanimous decision win over Tanner Boser. Prior to his shrewd judging triumph over Rozenstruik, Gane lodged a UFC 256 knockout win over former undisputed heavyweight champion, Junior dos Santos via a second-round elbow and follow-up strikes.
Volkov, a former Bellator MMA and M-1 Global heavyweight champion stopped Overeem inside two-rounds in his last Octagon outing, following a UFC 254 ‘Fight Island’ appearance against Walt Harris — where he managed an eye-catching front kick to the body win over the heavy-hitter.
Making his tenth Octagon walk, the 32-year-old Moscow native has scored other professional wins against the likes of Brett Rogers, Blagoy Ivanov, Roy Nelson, Stefan Struve, and former heavyweight champion, Fabricio Werdum.
