After Amanda Nunes’s brilliant performance dethroning Cris Cyborg and becoming a two weight class women’s champion, the question is who is next? Now, we have that answer, challenger and legend in the female division Holly Holm will step up and take on the Champ Champ at UFC 237 in Brazil.
Holly Holm was scheduled to fight up and comer Aspen Ladd at UFC 235 but, Dana White scratched that fight. Two reasons why I believe that was a great call. One, Ladd vs Holm is a fantastic matchup and UFC 235 is stacked with Jones vs Smith, Woodley vs Usman, Askren vs Lawler just to make a few, so the Holm Fight was getting lost on the biggest card so far of 2019. Second, Amanda Nunes has two titles, she wants to to stay active and she is healthy. With all those reasons, let’s make a championship fight between Nunes vs a contender and the UFC nailed it by choosing one of the greatest stand up strikers the female division has ever seen!
