Masvidal takes over Fight Island

Masvidal takes over Fight Island

When UFC 251 was announced as the debut show on Fight Island with three UFC Championship fights, the MMA world was buzzing.
However UFC Welterweight contender Gilbert Burns tested positive with the Corona Virus on July 4th and UFC fans gasp for the loss of the main event of UFC 251. Meanwhile, a couple phone calls, some Instagram videos and rumors started to fly of “Street Jesus” flying in to save the day.

The UFC and First Round Management made the deal for Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal to challenge the UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman on 6 days notice. However their were numerous hoops to pass, traveling across the world, passing COVID-19 tests, quarantines and of course cutting off the pizza weight.

Jorge Masvidal passes all these numerous tests with flying colors while using social media platforms to create an ample amount of buzz for UFC 251. With 2 fantastic female fights and 2 other high end championship fights on the card, the world was excited to see a great card but the second Jorge Masvidal got added to the already stacked event the MMA world forgot the other fights existed! The entire world is “ALL IN” on the main event between Usman & Masvidal.

During a interview on Yas Island, Dana White said “this thing is trending off the charts”. Jorge Masvidal is making UFC 251 a “CAN’T MISS”’sports event and that the non UFC fans are starting to engage in. If Masvidal pulls off this win, he could very well be the Biggest Combat Sports Superstar on the planet! We are just hours away from the epic event on Fight Island however, it soon could be renamed Masvidal Island.
