Kevin Holland plans to move down to Welterweight

In many eyes the fighter of 2020 was the Trailblazer Kevin Holland. Kevin went on a unprecedented 5 fight win streak in the middleweight division in the calendar year. In the main event of UFC Vegas 22 Kevin Holland took the unanimous lost to middleweight main stay Derek Brunson.

In a post fight interview with the magnificent Megan Olivi, the trailblazer was very forth coming of the idea of him hiring a nutritionist and moving down to welterweight. Kevin Holland tipped the scales this past weekend at 183 pounds, 3 pounds under the allowed weight. Also, Kevin did not miss on the opportunity to already call out his first opponent, he went after fan favorite Belal Muhammad.

Belal Muhammad is coming off a no contest with Leon Edwards in the main event of UFC Vegas 21. Kevin Holland’s idea took a lot of people back with him being on a fast track in the middleweight division in 2020. Let’s see what unfolds over the next couple of months with Leon Edwards, Belal Muhammad, Derek Brunson & Kevin Holland as MMA fans might be in for some great new matchups for the spring of 2021.
