Brock Lesnar, Summer Blockbuster

A 41 year old professional fighter who has not won a fight in over 9 years might return to the octagon this summer and get a heavyweight championship fight! This man is Brock Lesnar, over the weekend Dana White in a interview confirmed that they are in talks to matchup Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Cormier for the UFC Heavyweight Title in the summer of 2019.

Brock Lesnar debuted in the UFC in 2008 at UFC 81 vs Frank Mir and became an instant superstar. In Lesnar’s third fight he beat Randy Couture to become the UFC Heavyweight Champion. At UFC 100, not George St. Pierre but Brock Lesnar main evented the historic card and broke pay per view records. After of couple title defenses Brock dealt with sickness, injuries and consecutive loses and vanished from the UFC. After a 5 year hiatus Brock Lesnar returned to the octagon for another historic event UFC 200 vs Mark Hunt as he won the fight via unanimous decision, he was popped by USADA which turned that win into a No Contest. 

Last year Brock Lesnar shockingly surprised the UFC universe by entering the octagon after Daniel Cormier won the UFC Heavyweight Champion and challenged the newly crowned champ. After months of rumors, back and forth and coded tweets Dana White finally told the world that he believes DC vs Brock will likely happen within four months for the UFC Heavyweight Championship. So, a 41 year old professional wrestler who has not won a mix martial art fight in 9 years has zero shot against one of the greatest fighters of all time… Right….. hhmmmm…..Right….????
