An interesting flyweight matchup between, Antonina ‘La Pantera’ Shevchenko, and Ariane ‘Violence Queen’ Lipski has been set for UFC 255 on November 21st. – with a location and venue yet to be determined by the promotion.

Antonina, the older sister of current division champion, Valentina – is looking to return to the win column, following a defeat to one-time title challenger, Katlyn ‘Blonde Fighter’ Chookagian at UFC Fight Night Vegas in June.

Former KSW flyweight titleholder, Lipski has won two straight – featuring at a UFC Fight Night event on ‘Fight Island’ in July, securing a highlight-reel kneebar victory over compatriot, Luana Carolina. News of the flyweight battle was initially reported by AgFight reporter, Diego Ribas.

Dana White’s Contender Series product, Shevchenko has amassed a 2-2 promotional record since her signing with the organization back in late 2018. Initially debuting with success, Shevchenko scored a unanimous decision victory over Ji Yeon Kim, before dropping a decision of her own opposite veteran fan-favourite, Roxanne Modafferi last April.

Momentarily returning to winning ways, the 35-year-old Kyrgyzstan native would secure a rear-naked choke victory over Lucie Pudilová – prior to June’s grappling shutout defeat to Chookagian. From ten professional outings, Shevchenko has notched an 8-2 résumé.

Finally hitting the ground running in the promotion, Parana native, Lipski had notched two consecutive victories, following a string of two straight losses in her first and second Octagon appearances. In two unanimous decision defeats, the 26-year-old dropped losses to perennial contender, Joanne Calderwood, and Liverpudlian favourite, ‘Meatball’ Molly McCann.

In a unanimous judging win of her own, Lipski scored a decision victory over Isabela de Pádua – before July’s kneebar submission success against the aforenoted, Carolina.
