Andrei Arlovski vs. Tanner Boser slated for UFC event on October 3rd.

Former UFC heavyweight titleholder, Andrei ‘The Pitbull’ Arlovski will make his second Octagon walk of the year, with a clash alongside rising contender, Tanner ‘The Bulldozer’ Boser slated for a UFC Fight Night event on October 3rd. – with a location and venue yet to be confirmed by the organization.

fifty fight veteran, Arlovski last featured at UFC Fight Night Jacksonville in May, taking a unanimous decision win over promotional newcomer, Philipe Lins, in his twentieth win under the UFC banner.

Former Unified MMA heavyweight best, Boser – has notched wins in his two Octagon appearances this year, with victories coming against common opponent, Lins, and a recent ‘Fight Island’ stoppage over Raphael Pessoa. TSN reporter, Aaron Bronsteter was first to report the news of the heavyweight affair.

41-year-old Belarusian striker, Arlovski – rose to UFC prominence back in February of 2005 – claiming the interim heavyweight title in a achilles lock victory over Tim Sylvia before stopping Paul Buentello after he was promoted to undisputed titleholder.

Winning just four of his last nine Octagon appearances, Arlovski has notched career highlight triumphs over the likes of Fabrício Werdum, Ben Rothwell (x2), Roy Nelson, Brendan Schaub, ‘Bigfoot’ Silva, Travis Browne, Frank Mir, and Stefan Struve.

An emerging talent in the developing heavyweight ranks, Alberta upstart, Boser has established a 3-1 promotional record since his first Octagon walk, in October of last year. Managing a victory over Daniel Spitz, Boser has added the aforenoted Lins, and Pessoa since. In his one and only UFC defeat, Boser dropped a unanimous decision against fellow prospect, Cyril Gane last December at UFC Fight Night Busan.
