A New Women’s Champion…

With UFC 237,238,239 on the horizon, in the main or co main events they will all feature a women’s championship fight. Will we see a new champion be crowned or will the champs hold ground. At UFC 237 Rose Namajunas will defend her strawweight title against Jessica Andrade in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. Thug Rose defeated Joanna Jedrzejcyk to capture the UFC strawweight crown and is up for the challenge to fight Jessica in her backyard of Brazil. Jessica Andrade the hungry challenger has won three straight times in the octagon and comes into UFC 237 ultra confident.

That brings us to UFC 238 where in the co main event we have the women’s flyweight championship fight with Valentina Shevchenko vs Jessica Eye. Valentina The Bullet is eager to defend her flyweight title for the first time, Valentina wants to start to create her legacy as one of the greatest female competitors of all time. Jessica who is a UFC veteran would love to reach her ultimate goal of being a champion in the UFC and in Chicago at UFC 238 she will get her chance.

Lastly that brings us to UFC 239 in Las Vegas where one of the biggest female fights in the UFC’s history will take place between the champion Amanda Nunes vs Holly Holm. Amanda shocked the UFC universe last December at UFC 232 where she demolished Cris Cyborg to become the first ever female Champ Champ. In her first title defense the UFC did not make it easy for the champ when they scheduled her Holly Holm who knows a thing or two about shocking the world!! Amanda is on a 8 fight winning streak and seems to be getting better and better with every performance. Holly Holm will try to capture some of that magic she had in 2015 at UFC 193 when she came into her fight with the unbeatable Ronda Rousey. Holly knows this might be her last chance to win UFC gold and will leave everything she has inside that octagon. Holm vs Nunes is an all time female fight and has history written all over it, one thing for sure the winner will absolutely go and earn it. Three consecutive UFC PPV’s will feature all three female UFC Champions, will we see a changing of the guard in the female divisions.
