

Gillian the Savage Robertson is a shooting star in the flyweight UFC division. Born in Niagara, Falls Ontario she made here way to the sunshine state where she trains everyday at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Florida. With here BJJ skills she has two submission victories under the UFC Banner and she is not done, her goal is to one day hold the UFC Flyweight Championship!

How is your training going at American Top Team?
Savage: It’s unreal the girls we have here at ATT the likes of Amanda Nunes, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Tecia Torres is having her camp here, he just have a handful of girls that we get to test ourself and see where we your at in the world.
How was it to see Amanda Nunes destroy Cris Cyborg?
Savage: Amanda Nunes is 100% an inspiration who she is as a person is amazing, I believe she is the first female Mix Martial Artist that can do everything.
Who have fought for Combat Night, Island Fights and now the UFC do you feel any added pressure fighting under the biggest fight organization in the world?
Savage: Honestly I think it has got easier for me since I got into the UFC. I have gained a lot of experience through my amateur days.
How did you get your nickname “Savage” ?
Savage: My coach sent an email to my team saying she is quiet as a mouse but when she gets in the cage I turn into a savage!
What got you into MMA?
Savage: Great question, I don’t really know. I used to work with animals at a humane society and for some reason when I was 16 I wanted to try kickboxing, I met Din Thomas and rest is history.
