1. How did you get linked up with American Top Team?
Anne Ribeiro: I started training at ATT around the time when I was 8. My dad did his camps there so I was always at the gym with him and decided to try out jiu jitsu. I spent some time away and reconnected with ATT in February 2018 which is when I decided to start training for MMA.
2. What’s your favorite aspect of mix martial arts?
Anne Ribeiro: I appreciate every part of the game but if I had to choose it would probably be the fight itself. There’s no better feeling than being locked in the cage with someone and getting to test your will against theirs. I take it very seriously but at the same time I have a lot of fun in there doing what I love.
3. With your father being a legend in the sport, how do you break through the BigFoot Shadow?
Anne Ribeiro: I’m very blessed to have the exposure that I do so early on in my career because of my dad. At the same time I think I do a good job at being myself. I think authenticity is extremely important and I want to be known for who I am and not just as someone’s daughter. My dad has an amazing legacy behind him but now it’s time to make my own. I’m going to make Anne Ribeiro a household name.
4. Who’s your all time favorite movie & musician?
Anne Ribeiro: I don’t have a favorite movie but I’m very into the whole avengers franchise. I’ve probably seen everyone of those movies multiple times each. My all time favorite musician is The Weeknd, I think his music is amazing to vibe to.
5. What’s next for you?
Anne Ribeiro: I’m looking forward to putting on a dominant performance June 23rd and then move on to some title fights at the end of the year. One of my goals is to end the year with a belt and I’m working hard to make it happen. Other than that I just want to keep fighting and gaining as much experience as I can. My goal is to be the best at this, I won’t rest until I make that dream come true.
